June 2005
Mid-Atlantic Environmental Group, Inc. completed duct bank excavation at the Mt Royal Train Station, Baltimore MD for Blumenthal-Kahn Electric. Mid-Atlantic did not know what to expect in the sub grade of this building, originally constructed in the 1860s. We ran into large Granite formations in the 3’ deep trench. “We literally bent points and chisels trying to complete the demolition. We only had a one day over-run on the project and BK gave us a second contract to demo the sump pit. No one knew that was solid Granite either!”
Ted Gattino, President
